Williams tease 2022 livery in a video with their drivers

Williams’ drivers Nicholas Latifi and Alex Albon complimented “fresh” features which include a new paint scheme, in a teaser video for the team’s 2022 F1 car.

The Williams Formula One team will debut its new car on February 15, the first under F1’s dramatically changed rules and regulations, as they gear up to building on last year’s impressive performance after landing eighth place in the constructors’ championship.

Latifi and Albon have been given their first look at the design of the 2022 F1 car in a video posted on Twitter ahead of the official launch and both drivers have appeared to confirm changes to the color scheme.

And, judging on their statements, Williams’ new charger will be sporting a color scheme that will be substantially different than last season’s two-tone blue striped pattern.

According to Nicholas Latifi and Alex Albon, Williams Racing’s 2022 contender will feature an all-new simplified livery with a “fresh” new color.

“That’s different….Fresh!” Latifi reacts.

“I think I used that word last year, but I think it applies more to this year. This is really cool, actually.”

“I think it’s going to look nice under the lights, nice in photos.”

Similarly, newly signed Williams driver, Alex Albon was enthusiastic about the new design and noted that a new color had been added despite its name being censored out of the video.

“I like it. I would say it’s more Williams,” said the 25-year old Thai driver.

“It is more simple in terms of the colour scheme. There’s a little bit of **** in it. I like the **** in it.”

“There’s a new colour involved here, which I’m a fan of,” also acknowledged Latifi.

“I think it highlights some very cool features on the car. A bit of a different pattern as well, from what we’ve normally used.”
