Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac entry has been officially confirmed to make the much-anticipated Le Mans debut.
The announcement comes as part of Cadillac’s expanded Hypercar class program, which will feature four entries in the 93rd edition of the iconic endurance race.
For Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac this represents the culmination of years of ambition and preparation, as well as a significant milestone for the team and its partnership with the American manufacturing giant.
The team will field a single Cadillac V-Series.R, driven by Ricky Taylor, Jordan Taylor, and Filipe Albuquerque. The car is part of the brand’s broader Hypercar effort which also includes entries from Hertz Team JOTA and Action Express Racing.
This marks Cadillac’s largest presence at Le Mans since 2000, showcasing the brand’s commitment to competing at the highest level of endurance racing.
The inclusion of the Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac in this lineup adds further depth to its campaign, as the team brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in sports car racing.

Wayne Taylor who initially revealed the plan in January, expressed immense gratitude and excitement for this opportunity. Reflecting on his own history with Le Mans, where he last competed as a driver in 2002 with Cadillac’s Northstar LMP02 program, he highlighted the personal significance of this entry.
“It has always been our plan to go to Le Mans with a shot at the overall win,” he remarked. “When I was there with Cadillac in 2002, I was driving, and both my kids were with me as spectators.

“Now, 20 years later, they are driving for me with Cadillac. It is very exciting. The company has built an amazing race car.
“This is such an important event and to be competitive you must arrive with everything in place. I believe we now have the car to beat.
The Cadillac V-Series.R itself is a formidable contender. Built to Le Mans Daytona h (LMDh) regulations, this hybrid-powered prototype has already demonstrated its capabilities in both the IMSA SportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
With its powerful 5.5L V8 engine—the largest displacement among GTP cars—the V-Series.R combines cutting-edge technology with proven reliability. Since its debut in 2023, it has secured multiple victories and podium finishes across various championships, further solidifying its reputation as a competitive Hypercar.
For the Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac entry, it is not all about making history but also having the opportunity to compete at the highest level. The team’s decision to switch from Acura to Cadillac machinery over the winter was driven by a desire to participate in Le Mans—a goal that Acura had not pursued despite its success in IMSA.
The strategic move aligns perfectly with Cadillac’s ambitions to expand its global motorsport footprint and challenge for overall victories on the world stage.
The journey to Le Mans has been a long time coming for Wayne Taylor Racing. Founded in 2004 by Wayne Taylor himself, the team has built an impressive résumé over two decades.
Notable achievements include multiple victories at marquee events such as the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. The team’s partnership with Cadillac dates back to 2017 when it first campaigned the brand’s prototypes in IMSA competition.
