Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team unveiled its highly anticipated 2025 MotoGP livery on Saturday at the Nusa Indah Theater in Jakarta, Indonesia, marking a significant moment for the team as it enters its fourth season in the premier motorcycle racing championship.
The event, held in the heart of Indonesia, not only showcased the team’s new racing colors but also highlighted the growing importance of the region in global motorsports.
VR46 Racing Team’s 2025 MotoGP livery continues to pay homage to the team’s iconic roots, with the fluorescent yellow famously associated with Valentino Rossi taking center stage alongside the white color introduced in the previous season.
The design, meticulously crafted by Aldo Drudi and Drudi Performance, incorporates symbolic details that reflect the team’s rich heritage.
Each side of the bike features a sun and moon – personal symbols of team owner Valentino Rossi – while the iconic number 46 stands prominently in the middle, accompanied by the rider numbers 49 (Fabio Di Giannantonio) and 21 (Franco Morbidelli).

This year marks a pivotal moment for the VR46 Racing Team as they transition to becoming Ducati’s official satellite team, taking over from Pramac. The team will field the latest Desmosedici GP25, with Di Giannantonio being the only rider outside the factory team to have this cutting-edge machinery.
The partnership with Pertamina enters its second year, with the team’s launch taking place in Indonesia – the headquarters of the oil company that provides crucial sponsorship.
Fabio Di Giannantonio, returning for his second season with the VR46 Racing Team, expressed excitement about the new livery and his recovery from a left shoulder injury.
“It’s good to be in Indonesia and to launch the team here,” Di Giannantonio stated. “Our new livery is amazing, we made a huge step with these little details this year.

Diggia is confident about his physical condition, estimating he’s at 85% recovery and expects to be at 100% by the first race of the season.
“About the shoulder, I’m recovering quite well from the operation, that was hard,” he added. “I think I’m at my 85%, but during the winter we worked a lot, and I think I should arrive at the first race of the season at 100%.”
Joining Di Giannantonio is Franco Morbidelli, a long-standing member of the VR46 Riders Academy and the first World Champion among Rossi’s mentees. The 2017 Moto2 champion brings a wealth of experience to the team after finishing ninth with Prima Pramac Racing in the previous season.
“It’s great to start from here, launching the VR46 Racing Team and having the first trainings in Indonesia,” Morbidelli commented. “The 2025 MotoGP livery is really beautiful! It’s a new team for me, but I already know everyone.

“Riding for Valentino Rossi’s team is amazing; he made motorcycling racing better. It was great also seeing my 21 on the new bike, the colors are wonderful, and I love the shadow of the 46 behind the number.
“In 2025 we aim to improve last year results, we have a very good package thanks to Ducati. I get along well with Fabio, we’ve known each other for a long time, he’s riding very fast, and it will be important to work together to get great results for the team.”
Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team Director Alessio Salucci shared the team’s ambitious goals for the 2025 MotoGP season.
“The goal of this year is to fight for the top six,” he explained. “It’s our first year as Ducati Factory Supported Team, we will have more pressure, but we must be good at manage it.
“Our 2025 MotoGP livery is similar to last year one, but with some special details. There is Valentino, with his iconic symbols.
“Last year we suffered a bit, but I have great expectation for this year, because we have a renewed package, with Fabio Di Giannantonio who proved to be very fast and Franco Morbidelli who has been a MotoGP runner up and a Moto2 World Champion.”
VR46 Racing Team Manager Pablo Nieto highlighted the significance of their enhanced relationship with Ducati, noting that being a Factory Supported Team brings both additional pressure and opportunities.
“This year, the relationship with Ducati is a step forward, for us being a Factory Supported Team is very important,” Nieto stated. “It means we have more pressure, and we can do better because we have the best bike on the grid.
“The goal is to keep improving and we know we can reach the podium every weekend with both riders. Diggia has the opportunity to be in the top three in almost every race, and with Franky we will have many opportunities because he already knows the bike.”
