The 63rd running of the iconic race is scheduled for January 25-26 and will feature a remarkable lineup of 61 cars competing across four distinct classes: GTP, LMP2, GTD Pro, and GTD.
Among the standout entries is the No. 24 BMW M Hybrid V8 driven by Dries Vanthoor who secured pole position to mark the manufacturer’s first pole in the LMDh hybrid prototype era that began in 2023.
Following closely behind him are Nick Yelloly in the No. 93 Acura ARX-06 and Felipe Nasr representing the defending champions, Porsche Penske Motorsport, in the No. 7 Porsche 963.
The LMP2 class features returning champion Daniel Goldburg in the No. 22 AutosportRECA LMP2 07, who recorded a time of 1:34.676 during qualifying. His performance is complemented by Ben Keating’s efforts in both LMP2 and GTD Pro categories, showcasing his versatility as a driver.
In the GTD class, Elliott Skeer set an impressive pace with a lap time of 1:46.120 in his No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, narrowly edging out last year’s GTD champion Russell Ward in the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3.
