Sebastian Vettel spotted at the Monaco Grand Prix paddock

Sebastian Vettel has returned to the F1 paddock after taking a seven-month break from the sport.

The F1 paddock has briefly welcomed Sebastian Vettel back. The German had previously been seen at the circuit, but Aston Martin’s Twitter page has video of the four-time world champion’s comeback.

Vettel announced his retirement from Formula 1 in 2022 where he won four world championships for Red Bull Racing at the end of an outstanding career. His final seasons were spent working for Aston Martin, where he experienced challenging seasons. In that regard, Fernando Alonso, his replacement, has taken over at a good moment.

The German and Mick Schumacher were teammates for Team Germany at the Race of Champions in Sweden in January.

After Lance Stroll suffered a cycling accident before the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, there were rumors that he would take Stroll’s position, but he chose to stay on vacation with his family. Vettel, sadly, seems to just be in Monaco for Friday as he heads to meet with F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali.

Sebastian’s father, Norbert, was also spotted leaving the Aston Martin hospitality area on Thursday and entering the paddock before his Friday appearance.

Vettel previously admitted in an interview that he misses racing, therefore he is traveling to Monaco to watch from the pit lane. Pictures of Vettel appearing earlier in the weekend started to circulate on social media, and now Aston Martin has verified it: the German came to say hello to his old squad.

The lure of his appearance is undeniable, as the German spends a lot of time away from Formula 1 enjoying life’s finer pleasures.

He will be driving a range of vintage F1 vehicles between July 13 and July 16 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
