The Turkish star representing the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team clocked an impressive lap time of 1:39.995, securing his position at the top of the timesheets and setting the tone for what promises to be a thrilling weekend in Portimão.
Toprak Razgatlioglu’s performance in 2025 Portuguese WorldSBK FP2 was a testament to his resilience and ability to adapt quickly. Despite missing out on valuable track time earlier in the day, he returned with determination and precision, leaving his competitors trailing by 0.3 seconds.
Razgatlioglu’s mastery of the BMW M 1000 RR on the challenging Algarve circuit highlighted his technical prowess and underlined why he remains one of the most formidable riders in the WorldSBK paddock.
Nicolo Bulega, riding for Aruba.it Racing Ducati, secured second place with a best lap time of 1:40.294. The Italian rider demonstrated consistent pace throughout the session but fell short of matching Razgatlioglu’s benchmark.

Razgatlioglu’s ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK teammate Michael van der Mark completed the top three with a lap time of 1:40.506. The Dutch rider showcased his synergy with the reigning champion as they worked together during the session to fine-tune their setups.
Van der Mark’s strong showing highlighted BMW’s competitiveness this season and their potential to disrupt Ducati’s dominance.
The Ducati contingent dominated positions four through nine on the timesheets, showcasing the strength of their machinery at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve.

Andrea Iannone of Team Pata GoEleven secured fourth place with a time of 1:40.595, followed closely by two-time World Champion Alvaro Bautista on the factory Aruba.it Racing – Ducati in fifth place at 1:40.706.
Danilo Petrucci and Yari Montella, both representing Barni Spark Racing Team, claimed sixth and seventh places respectively, while British rider Scott Redding ended up eighth with a time of 1:40.826.
Sam Lowes rounded out the Ducati-heavy group in ninth place aboard his ELF Marc VDS Racing Team machine.

Alex Lowes, representing Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team, broke into the top ten with a solid performance on his KB998 Rimini machine, clocking a lap time of 1:40.872. His effort was commendable given the intense competition from Ducati riders dominating much of the session.
