The fourth season of Netflix’s Formula 1 series Drive to Survive will premiere on March 11th, according to the show’s official announcement.
Netflix’s Formula 1 documentary, Drive To Survive, will be released for its fourth season on March 11. The 10-episode series will be released one week before the season-opener in Bahrain.
The fourth series, which will be released soon before the start of the new Formula One season, has generated a lot of buzz because it is slated to cover one of the most dramatic and contentious campaigns in the sport’s history which is the the 2021 F1 season.
Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton battled for the 2021 world championship throughout the year, and it came down to the final lap of the final Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, with the Dutchman winning after the most controversial of calls from Race Director Michael Masi.
The TV series also captures behind-the-scenes footage throughout the 2021 Formula One season.
However, Reigning World Champion, Max Verstappen indicated last year that he would not work with the producers of Drive to Survive. The Red Bull driver claimed that the show’s producers “faked a few rivalries that don’t really exist” and that they had not granted them any interviews.
Other drivers expressed satisfaction with how they were portrayed in Drive to Survive. Box to Box has the rights to use footage taken by Formula 1 Management during race weekends, thus Verstappen is expected to appear in the series.
“Fierce team rivalries, surprising podiums, and the furious title struggle between Mercedes and Red Bull as the pressure reaches an all-time high both on and off the grid,” F1 said on the announcement of the new Drive to Survive series.
