Max Verstappen crashes out of 24 Hours Le mans Virtual race

Max Verstappen, the 2021 Formula One World Champion, crashed out of the lead of the Le Mans Virtual 24 hour race.

With teammates Felix Rosenqvist, Atze Kerkhof, and Maximilian Benecke, Verstappen took the lead from the start for Team Redline before increasing his lead to the team’s second car and dominating in the race.

The Dutchman, however, lost control of his vehicle over the kerbs of the Ford Chicance and crashed into the barriers with the race having gone for seven hours which is the official sim racing equivalent of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The crash was strong enough to cause critical damage in the rFactor2 model, forcing it to retire immediately.
