Full 2025 Spanish MotoGP FP2 Results – Marc Marquez delivered a masterclass during final practice at Jerez, setting the fastest time ahead of KTM’s Maverick Vinales.
The Saturday morning session unfolded under ideal Andalusian skies and was a pivotal moment in the race weekend as it not only set the tone for qualifying but also revealed the evolving pecking order among the premier class contenders.
From the moment the pit lane opened for Spanish MotoGP FP2 the intensity on track was palpable. Riders wasted no time in getting up to speed with the Ducati Lenovo Team’s Marc Marquez quickly establishing himself as the benchmark.
Marquez, a six-time MotoGP World Champion, demonstrated both aggression and finesse ultimately posting a blistering 1:36.677-the fastest lap of the session.
This performance marked a significant turnaround from Friday when his younger brother Alex Marquez had dominated both sessions and set a new lap record but on Saturday it was Marc who seized the spotlight.
Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Maverick Viñales emerged as Marquez’s closest challenger coming in just 0.210 seconds adrift, showcasing the RC16’s competitiveness at Jerez.

Meanwhile, Fabio Quartararo continued his resurgence with Monster Energy Yamaha. The 2021 MotoGP World Champion has been in the top ten throughout the weekend and in Free Practice 2 he delivered a strong 1:36.978 to secure third on the timesheets.
Quartararo’s Yamaha YZR-M1 appeared well-balanced, allowing him to attack the flowing corners of Jerez with confidence. His performance was particularly notable given Yamaha’s struggles in recent seasons and his presence at the sharp end of the field hinted at a potential return to form for the Japanese manufacturer.
Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia endured a mixed session. While he ultimately finished fourth with a 1:37.097, the factory Ducati rider suffered a crash during the session which briefly disrupted his rhythm.
Prima Pramac Yamaha’s Jack Miller secured fifth place while Alex Marquez who had been the headline act on Friday by topping both practice sessions and setting a new lap record, found himself sixth in Free Practice 2.

Fabio di Giannantonio slotted into seventh for Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team as Marco Bezzecchi marked the top Aprilia rider, finishing eighth with a 1:37.296.
Franco Morbidelli despite suffering a heavy crash at the start of the session managed to regroup and post a 1:37.303, placing ninth.

Completing the top ten was Luca Marini, the leading Honda rider, with his performance giving a much-needed boost for Honda HRC Castrol, as they continue to work tirelessly to return the RC213V to competitive form.
Just outside the top ten, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing duo Brad Binder and Pedro Acosta finished 11th and 12th respectively. Joan Mir representing Honda HRC Castrol was 13th, a solid result as he continues to rebuild confidence after a challenging start to the season.
Highly-rated BK8 Gresini Racing rookie Fermin Aldeguer took 14th while Aleix Espargaro, making his Honda MotoGP debut as a wild-card was 15th.
