In preparation for the 2022 Formula 1 season, Lewis Hamilton has returned to Mercedes factory in Brackley.
Seven-time World Champion, Lewis Hamilton is back at Mercedes headquarters for the preparation of the 2022 Formula 1 Championship this week, kicking off his return from a winter of silence.
Following Hamilton’s return to social media over the weekend after an almost two-month hiatus, the Mercedes team followed suit, commenting about Hamilton’s return on their own social media pages.
Hamilton also posted a series of video recordings of himself in training, captioned ‘back at it,’ implying that he is focused on the next Formula One season.
For weeks, it was unknown whether Hamilton would race alongside George Russell, after he had taken a long break from the spotlight after losing the 2021 championship to Max Verstappen.
While no official announcements have been made, it appears that Hamilton will compete in the 2022 Formula One World Championship, since Mercedes confirmed to RacingNews365.com that he has been on-site at their Brackley factory.
Hamilton was at the team headquarters in Brackley on Monday and Tuesday according to a team spokesperson, in preparation for the 2022 Formula One season.
Mercedes will unveil the W13, their 2022 F1 car, on February 18th.
