Kiro Race Co has officially announced a significant multi-year partnership with Spanish automotive brand CUPRA ahead of the highly anticipated 2024-25 Formula E season.
This collaboration comes just days before the Season 11 opener in São Paulo, Brazil, scheduled for December 7, 2024, reflecting both organizations’ commitment to innovation and excellence in electric motorsport.
The partnership marks a pivotal moment for Kiro Race Co, which has undergone substantial changes in recent months, including a rebranding to CUPRA KIRO and the confirmation of its driver lineup featuring Dan Ticktum and David Beckmann.

The strategic alliance with the Spanish outfit not only provides Kiro Race Co with essential manufacturer backing but also aligns with the Brand’s commitment to electrification and performance in motorsport.
The team will utilize a modified version of Porsche’s Gen3 powertrain and the new livery will be unveiled at the Mexico City E-Prix in January 2025, following an initial single-round livery debut in São Paulo E-Prix.
“On behalf of Kiro Race Co, I’m delighted to welcome CUPRA as our Co-Title Partner for the 2024-25 Formula E season and beyond,“ said team principal Alex Hui.
“Our partnership together marks a pivotal moment in our journey, and CUPRA’s bold, performance-driven mentality perfectly complements our ultimate ambition to one day race into history.
“Our story starts this weekend, and we’re looking forward to showcasing what CUPRA KIRO can achieve in São Paulo E-Prix.”
Jeremy Tarica, Managing Director of The Forest Road Company (the parent company of Kiro Race Co), expressed his enthusiasm about welcoming a new partner.
“Welcoming Cupra, a disruptive automotive brand, as our co-title partner as part of a multi-year collaboration represents an incredible milestone for Kiro Race Co, especially at such an early stage in our Formula E journey,“ Tarica said.
“Our partnership starts in motorsport, but it extends far beyond it – it’s united by a shared belief in the desire to challenge the status quo by disrupting and leading change in our respective fields.
“We will start our new chapter together as CUPRA KIRO at this weekend’s São Paulo E-Prix, and I can’t begin to express my excitement on behalf of The Forest Road Company.”
CUPRA has established itself as an unconventional challenger brand since its launch in 2018, achieving remarkable success with over 750,000 cars sold. The brand has also made significant strides in motorsport, developing the world’s first fully electric touring car, the e-Racer.
Xavi Serra, Global Head of Racing at CUPRA, highlighted that joining forces with Kiro Race Co represents a logical progression for the brand.
“Joining Kiro Race Co is the logical next step for CUPRA,“ said Serra. “By combining our technical know-how with the team, we are fully prepared to compete at the highest level.
“Our commitment to Formula E comes from our racing DNA, alongside the format’s ability to give us a competitive platform to develop the future of electric road cars.”
The partnership is particularly noteworthy given CUPRA’s recent departure from its previous collaboration with ABT following a merger with Lola and Yamaha.
The announcement comes at an exciting time for Formula E, which has rapidly gained traction as a premier platform for electric vehicle racing.
With its certified net-zero carbon footprint since inception, Formula E stands out not only for its thrilling competition but also for its dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
For 2024-25 Formula E season, the all-electric series is poised to expand its global reach with races in iconic cities such as Monaco, Tokyo, Shanghai, Berlin, and London, alongside new venues in Jeddah and Miami.
