Jaguar TCS Racing is poised to make a huge impact in the 2024-25 ABB FIA FE with the unveiling of their new Formula E livery and the introduction of their latest race car, the Jaguar I-TYPE 7.
The season kicks off this weekend at the São Paulo E-Prix in Brazil, marking an exhilarating start to Season 11 which promises to be filled with intense competition and groundbreaking technological advancements.
The unveiling of the I-TYPE 7’s prototype livery marks an exciting chapter for Jaguar TCS Racing, which is not only the reigning teams’ champion but also a pioneer in electric vehicle technology.
The new Formula E livery reflects Jaguar’s rich heritage in motorsport while embracing a modern aesthetic. The design maintains the iconic black, white, and gold color scheme that fans have come to associate with and also introduces dynamic elements that symbolize their forward-thinking approach.
The design symbolizes Jaguar TCS Racing’s remarkable journey in Formula E, celebrating their 16 victories across 11 different venues since their debut. This includes their first podium finish at the 2019 Rome E-Prix and a historic one-two finish at the 2024 Monaco E-Prix.
At the heart of Jaguar’s strategy this season is the introduction of the GEN3 Evo car, which features several key innovations aimed at enhancing performance and sustainability.
The GEN3 Evo represents a significant leap forward from its predecessor, incorporating all-wheel-drive capabilities for the first time during qualifying duels, race starts, and Attack Mode activations.
This advancement is expected to provide drivers with improved traction and handling on various track surfaces. Additionally, enhanced aerodynamics and more sustainable Hankook iON tires will contribute to better grip and overall race performance.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time for the Jaguar brand and for us as reigning World Champions,“ Jaguar TCS Racing team principal James Barclay is quoted by the official Formula E website.
“In parallel with our Season 10 Teams’ World Championship and Manufacturers’ Trophy wins with the Jaguar I-TYPE 6, we have been designing, developing and testing the new Jaguar I-TYPE 7.
“The all-new Jaguar powertrain is at the start of its development journey but we have seen positive early signs and, along with all teams, we’ve been enjoying the challenge of maximising the new regulations and capability that comes with the shift into the GEN3 Evo era of Formula E.“
Jaguar TCS Racing enters Season 11 as the reigning Teams’ Champion having secured their first championship title in the previous season with an impressive total of 368 points.
The team will once again be represented by accomplished drivers Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy, both of whom have demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout their careers in Formula E.

The São Paulo E-Prix promises to be a thrilling event as it marks not only the season opener but also a return to Brazilian streets where fans witnessed intense racing just under two years ago.
