The 2025 IndyCar season kicked off with a thrilling event at the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg, where reigning champion Alex Palou secured a stunning victory. Scott Dixon made a last minute dash to snatch second place from Josef Newgarden.
Scott McLaughlin took fourth ahead of Kyle Kirkwood who ultimately rounded out the top five runners in the 2025 IndyCar season opener.
