The introduction of a special logo, as well as a movie featuring several of the legendary brand’s employees, is the first point of order to be dealt with as Ferrari celebrates their 75th anniversary in 2022.
The logo was made to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Mr Enzo Ferrari’s opening of a modest business in Maranello in 1947. Along with the Cavallino Rampante (“prancing horse”) and 1947-2022 lettering, the logo incorporates a prominent number 75.
John Elkann, Ferrari Chairman, unveiled a sculpture of the prancing horse, which is really a big puzzle made with the aid of each and every Ferrari employee who placed each unique piece.
“For this special year we have created a special icon, a sculpture made up of thousands of components forged here in our factory and positioned one by one by my Ferrari colleagues,” said Ferrari Chairman, John Elkann.
“It is a symbol of the Ferrari spirit which is shared both here in Maranello and by all our family around the world. It reflects the essence of who we are, our past 75 years, and our future.”
“It is a symbol of a company that, as Enzo Ferrari once said – Above all, is made of people,” he added.
Enzo also shared his sentiments featured in the official video.
“Factories are made of people, machines, and buildings. Ferrari, above all, is made of people,” he said.
In 2017, Ferrari honored their 70th century by releasing 350 unique editions of their current models, the La Ferrari Aperta, and hosting several events across the world. While it’s unclear whether any special edition models will be featured in Maranello’s 2022 anniversary plans, the Daytona SP# from the limited production Icona series should serve as a preview of what’s to come in the next year.
