Recently crowned F1 World Champion Max Verstappen had claimed pole position for the 2024 Qatar Grand Prix, before losing it to George Russell after the Red Bull star was handed one-place grid penalty following qualifying.
McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will fill out the second row of the grid as they look to keep the Ferrari drivers behind with team Papaya looking to claim their first Constructors’ Championship since 1998.
Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will line up in fifth and seventh respectively with Lewis Hamilton separating the duo in sixth. Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso will start from eighth ahead of Red Bull’s Sergio Perez in ninth while Haas’ Nico Hulkenberg starts from tenth.
The 2024 Qatar Grand Prix will be held over 57 laps on Sunday, with the race getting underway at 1900 local time.
