F1 22 to feature Ferrari's yellow-themed livery

To celebrate Ferrari’s 75 years of developing road cars at Monza this weekend, EA F1 22 has introduced time-limited additional features that also include Zhou Guanyu and the Shangai International Circuit.

A fresh in-game update has been made available by EA F1 22 in honor of the impending Ferrari festivities at Monza. The limited-time Ferrari-specific goodies will be available in the game until mid-October. The content for the Chinese Grand Prix is also a perpetually free update.

The special car livery Ferrari unveiled on Wednesday in anticipation of the Italian Grand Prix is one of the Giallo Modena accessories.

The driver overalls, pit crew overalls, helmet styles, and boots are all included. Starting on September 12 for a month, all players will be able to access the new features for free in-game.

This enables supporters to compete as the Scuderia in the unique livery as they commemorate the landmark of its famous road cars’ 75th anniversary.

The additions highlight the authenticity of the game, according to Codemasters’ F1 Senior Franchise Director Paul Jeal, who added that they were “thrilled to accompany Ferrari” in their celebrations.

“We are thrilled to accompany Ferrari during this special moment and bring this iconic new image they developed to F1® 22,” Jeal said. “Our studio prides itself on creating authentic racing experiences, and these touches reinforce how closely the game is embedded into the world of Formula 1.”

Additional in-game improvements, such as the inclusion of the Shanghai International Circuit, are also included in the update. Since 2019, China has been absent from the F1 schedule due to the annual race cancellation brought on by the Covid 19 pandemic.

The update will include the free weekly challenge “A Bright Start to F1” in honor of the Moon Festival. With six laps remaining, players will take the wheel of Alfa Romeo driver Zhou Guanyu, who will overtake childhood hero Fernando Alonso and teammate Valtteri Bottas en route to his best-ever Formula 1 finish.

A second-time limited item has been added by EA as an added incentive. Players who place seventh or higher in the Singapore Grand Prix from September 12 to 25 will gain access to a special Kohaku Koi car livery. The blog for F1® 22 will provide further details on this challenge on Monday.
