This weekend, Formula 1 will visit Miami for the first time, presenting drivers and teams with a brand-new challenge.
The Miami International Autodrome has joined the Formula One calendar as yet another new venue.
As racers prepare for the fifth round of the 2022 Formula 1 World Championship, the circuit in Miami will be built around Hard Rock Stadium, home of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, and will feature three DRS zones as well as a top speed of 320km/h. It also features 19 bends and a length of 5.412 kilometres, giving a stunning background to the action.
We haven’t seen an on-board lap of the course because this will be the first time Formula One cars race at Miami International Autodrome, and the circuit has being worked on until the last minute.
EA Sports and Codemasters have provided a hot lap of the circuit from the upcoming F1 2022 video game, featuring cover star Charles Leclerc, before of the inaugural event.
Check out the video below if you haven’t already seen the race preview video from yesterday. As someone who has driven in practically every Formula 1 race, this appears to be one of the most significant upgrades to yet.
