The Italian engineer steps into this prominent role following the tenure of Honda-bound Romano Albesiano, who has been with Aprilia for an impressive 20 years, including 11 years as Technical Director. His contributions have been instrumental in developing the racing program, and his legacy will undoubtedly influence Sterlacchini as he takes the reins.

The decision to appoint Fabiano Sterlacchini is rooted in his extensive experience and proven track record within the motorsport industry. Before joining Aprilia, he held key positions at various racing teams, where he demonstrated his ability to innovate and drive performance improvements.

Sterlacchini has spent the last three and a half seasons with KTM after spending 17 years with Ducati before switching to the Austrian outfit in 2021.
