In a spectacular display of nostalgia and celebration, all 11 teams have revealed their respective one-off retro liveries for this weekend’s British MotoGP at Silverstone.
The British MotoGP serves as the backdrop to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the premier world championship which was started in 1949 at the Assen circuit, and since then, there have been numerous winners and champions.
The special one-off retro liveries are part of the sport’s festivities, honoring the rich history and evolution of motorcycle racing’s premier class. This comes after MotoGP announced earlier this year that Silverstone would host the celebration.
This history will be celebrated throughout the weekend, with the first moment of commemoration taking place on Thursday with the live presentation of special liveries from all 11 teams.
Some teams have chosen to evoke striking designs from their past, while others, more recent, have done so in different ways, such as by paying tributes. Common to all are logos of some sponsors with designs from the past.
