Maverick Vinales suffered a scary crash in the final minutes of Q2 for the German MotoGP which prompted quick action from track marshals as the rider was later rushed to the medical center.
Aprilia’s Maverick Vinales had emerged as one of the most competitive riders in this weekend’s German MotoGP after breaking Sachsenring lap record on Friday but he would later suffer a huge crash in Saturday morning’s Q2 that left him with injuries.
The Spaniard experienced a highside at Turn 10 that sent him and his bike rolling into the gravel. Shortly after the fall, it was possible to see the rider struggling, on his knees on the ground, and the motorcycle smoking, with the rear wheel still spinning.
Vinales was later helped by the track marshals, who assisted him to get on his feet and had to be transported to the circuit’s medical center, where he was given the green light to race.
