M-Sport has unveiled their all-new Ford Puma Rally1 Hybrid’s livery ahead of the 2024 World Rally Championship.
M-Sport Ford has unveiled a stunning new livery for their Puma Rally1 in preparation of the forthcoming 2024 World Rally Championship, which gets underway in Monte Carlo next week.
The redesigned Puma has a white colour scheme featuring vibrant blue flashes and is yet again primarily sponsored by Red Bull. The M-Sport and Ford branding, as well as the emblems of major sponsors Fleetback, Castrol, SafetyCulture and Sparco, are prominently featured all through the body of the car.
“This year’s livery brings together old and new: taking inspiration from the old Sierra Cosworth and Mk2 Escorts in the mid-to-late 1980s,” M-Sport team principal Richard Millener said.
“The design combines bold blue striping on a predominantly white body with the Puma’s characteristic lightning bolt style.
“I think the livery will be a new favorite among long-standing Ford and M-Sport fans, it’s always special to reference heritage liveries.
“As usual, a huge thank you goes to Phil Dixon, our in-house designer, for his hard work and wonderful results on this livery… despite the immense time pressure we put him on him.”
The most recent version Ford Puma will be piloted by young Frenchman Adrien Fourmaux and Luxembourger Grégoire Munster.
Fourmaux is back in the top category of the WRC after devoting a significant part of the 2022 season to his WRC2 and British Rally Championship campaigns. The 28-year-old drove a Puma at the Japanese season finale last year, but he retired on the second stage after crashing due to severe weather.
Munster made his Rally1 debut in Chile last year and not too long after, he finished exceptionally in seventh place at the Central European Rally. His very first full-time campaign in WRC1 will be the 2024 season, and he is keen to leave an indelible mark.
This month’s Monte Carlo Rally will mark the first round of the 2024 WRC. It begins on Thursday, January 24, in the principality’s Casino Square.
