Formula E signs a multi-year deal to provide live coverage in Germany and Austria

Formula E has signed a new multi-year media deal with Red Bull Media House, DF1 and ServusTV in an effort to provide live coverage of all races in Germany and Austria.

Formula E is expanding its worldwide reach even further with the announcement of a multi-year partnership with Red Bull Media House, DF1 and ServusTV. Races will now be aired in Germany and Austria on free-to-air (FTA), pay TV and digital channels.

Live coverage of the Formula E World Championship races and qualifying sessions will be available in Germany on the recently launched FTA channel DF1. This agreement will be the biggest FTA programming coverage for Formula E in Germany since its founding.

Live coverage of Formula E races and qualifying sessions will also be available on ServusTV Motorsport, an exclusive motorsport channel available on Deutsche Telekom’s TV platform Magenta TV, as well as on the digital services ServusTV On and speedweek.com.

Every race in season 10 will be broadcast live in Austria on the FTA channel ServusTV. Formula E races will be broadcast on ServusTV’s digital channels along with other exclusive motorsport outlets.

“This exciting new partnership with Red Bull Media House, ServusTV, and DF1 marks a significant milestone in bringing Formula E’s racing to Germany and Austria – a region with a deep-rooted passion for motorsport,” said Aarti Dabas, Chief Media Officer, Formula E.

“As we gear up for our most dynamic season yet, including a double-header race in Berlin, fans in these key markets will have access to more live race programming than ever before through free-to-air channels.”

The Formula E World Championship’s tenth season kicks off on January 13 and concludes in London on July 21.
