Pramac Ducati to run special livery in Mugello

The Italian Grand Prix at Mugello will feature a special livery from Pramac Ducati MotoGP team, whose color scheme is inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy.

Pramac Ducati riders Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin will each run a two-sided paint job, with the first side paying tribute to Inferno, the first part of the Divine Comedy, and the second side being styled after Paradiso, the final part of the comic.

The famous line from Dante’s poem, which translates to “the love that moves the sun and the other stars,” is inscribed on the Inferno half of the artwork. Another section from the same poem is inscribed on the other side.

The Divine Comedy was read aloud as the livery was presented in the Mugello pitlane by Piero Pelu, the former leader of the Italian rock band Litfiba.

Pelu and Dante are both Florentine natives, and Mugello is just about 30 kilometers from Florence.

Pramac, which has experience racing in unique MotoGP liveries on home soil, is now running second in the 2023 teams’ standings with Martin trailing by just 14 points in the riders’ standings.
