Jenson Button’s ex-wife Jessica Michibata is said to have been detained in Japan after ordering a package containing MDMA to be sent to her hotel.

According to sources, Jessica Michibata, the ex-wife of former Formula 1 driver Jenson Button, was detained in Tokyo, Japan, after receiving an MDMA package in her and a friend’s hotel room.

According to sources, a customs officer discovered the bag containing the narcotics in a box that had come in from abroad.

The hotel was invaded by police from Tokyo’s Metropolitan Police, who detained Jessica and another person. The model, however, refutes the accusations made against her.

A statement from Jessica’s modeling agency, Revive, read as follows: “We would like to apologize to all concerned and fans for causing great concern due to the news of Jessica Michibata, who belongs to our company.”

“Currently, our company is unable to contact Michibata directly, and we are collecting information to confirm the facts.”

“As the investigative agency is currently investigating, we will refrain from providing further details.”

“Jenson and Jessica have decided to go their separate ways and it is very amicable… There is no one else involved,” a spokesperson for Button gave the news back then.

The couple actually didn’t live together during their marriage as Michibata resided in Japan with her mother while Button was based in Monaco.
